According to consumer information published by the Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) on its portal “food warning.de”, Salmonella was detected in the product as part of a self-inspection. .

According to the information, the product concerned was sold throughout Germany at all branches of Aldi Süd. The grocery discounter has already collected the merchandise. Customers can return the product to any Aldi Süd branch and have the purchase price refunded, even without showing the receipt. Frischebox GmbH points out that other products and products from other batches / expiration dates are not affected.

The risk to health cannot be excluded

“Salmonella can manifest itself in a few days with diarrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting and a slight fever. People with weakened immune systems, such as infants, toddlers or the elderly, are particularly at risk, ”the company writes. Since a health risk cannot be excluded, customers should be careful with the recall and not consume the affected product.
